Depends on what you need it for. Allot of graphic shops run Mac's but most Business run PC. If you need to learn one over the other id side on the PC side where you are more likely to have to use one in the future then you will a Mac. IMHO anyway. Go take both of them for a test drive and see what ones you like better. Its allot like buying speakers. What one is better? Well what one sounds better to you. Not to the pro who cares what it sounds like to him, we want it to sound good to you. So find something that you find comfortable and easy to use.
Good luck

I would get a mac if I could afford it. I've just heard they're a lot simpler to use.

I have both. One good thing about Macs is that there isn't as much malware out there designed for Macs. A regular Mac won't open a .exe (Windows executable) file. If you equip your PC with decent anti-virus and anti-spyware software that update their definitions frequently though, you should be ok. (I suggest AVG Antivirus and Ad-Aware, both free, BTW.)
The flip side is that there is sometimes software that doesn't have a Mac version, which can be frustrating sometimes. It's not as bad as it used to be though.

Have you looked at Linux? A co. called Everex released a $200 PC at Walmart last fall:

I need to get a new computer and everyone says mac is better than pc. Is that true? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
