So far FIOS has been great.
Advantages for me are
Speed. I am not going to be slowed down by the limits of copper connections. I have to access the web for work so if my kids are pulling down a game on Xbox live or the wife is sucking up bandwidth streaming videos and music I still have plenty left without having to shape traffic.
Its not Comcast. Having my Cell, Home Phone, TV service and as my ISP on one bill is great. The support has been top tier (so far). Response times blow away Comcast
IPTV. its allot more scalable then the broadcast model. What does this mean to you? More channels then broadcast can send. While they saturate their line the IP model only sends what you are requesting so in theory channels can be unlimited in number
Hardware/Router. Blows away Comcast. When you get into the router and see your options you may put that old IP cop on the Whitebox in the closet.

Hello I have been a viewer since day one. I was wondering, for all those who have purchased Verizon FIOS, what are the main reasons you switched to this new service. What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages(is there really any? :P) of having FIOS.
