I like the new Pics on the front page! When did they get a chance to do those?

Anybody feeling a bit overwhelmed yet with shopping?

I'll have to get in contact with some of you once I get these cookies underway... ;) Hopefully it will be the weekend of the 15th!

Hi, Michelle! Those new photos on the main page were done on a soundstage a few weeks ago, while the Gurus were shooting their "DIY/How-To" segments (like Lloyd's e-cycling one, which showed during the TV airing of Episode 1.) I never realized Lloyd and Brian had such amazing teeth!

I haven't had a chance to really do any holiday shopping yet, although while I was up north working on the show, I treated my girlfriend to a little shopping spree. I even held her purse AND fetched different sized jeans and brought them to the dressing room, so hopefully some of that will count towards the holiday grand total.

For about, oh 5 nanoseconds, I considered going out on Black Friday to shop...then I came to my senses, barricaded my doors and sat quietly inside with the lights off until Saturday came.

Hey Michelle! Glad you like the pictures! I like them as well. Karen was in a picture taking mood during one of our shoots so she took like 400 pictures....of each one of us! And apparently those were the best! :lol:

Im not sure if you are aware but cookies are like my favorite thing ever. It is a necessary part of my diet, and I do not think I would be a Guru without them. What kind are you making? (Please say Chocolate Chip... :P )

Well Lloyd, I make several different kinds the top one and the most I make ARE, in fact, Chocolate Chips. However I usually omit all nuts in any of my cookies because I can't stand them inside them myself, So hopefully that won't be too big of a deal.

The others I will be making are: Rum Balls (2nd most popular), Reeses peanut butter chip, sugar cookies, Hershey Kiss cookies (a.k.a Peanut Blossoms), Mint chocolate chip, Oh Sometimes M&Ms depending on timing and oatmeal raisin, again depending on timing...

I usually like to do a new cookie recipe each year to change it up a bit for people, but since I didn't do anything last year I may just stick with the usual game plan. Sometimes I sprinkle the cookies with red and green sprinkles to livin them up.

Most years it takes me a weekend to do all but with my new "Kitchen aid" It has cut some time... OH I LOVE THAT THING - speaking of new technology items. That is the best invention ever for bakers! I think the first year i got that I went over board even for my standards. Had so many I didn't know who to give them too.. LOL!
