Rich and Nancy weren't slowing down at all, but their equipment was. While Rich struggled with an older computer that couldn't keep up with his fast-paced stock trading, Nancy attempted to quilt for distant family members on a broken, 30 year old sewing machine. The Gurus literally knocked Rich off his feet with a 15 Mbps* FiOS connected computer so that he can be a power trader from the comfort of his home office. Nancy can watch her new HDTV while she makes quilts on a new, computerized sewing machine. And their neighbors can enjoy the 61" HDTV at the community center, as well as a 20" iMac to share.
OFFICE THEATER:
Rich's office now has the computer he needs to keep up with his career as a day trader, but there are also some special touches to be found, like the new 47" HDTV. Surrounding the television are ten flatscreen monitors, creating a Memory Wall that displays a slideshow of Rich and Nancy's photographs.
SUNROOM THEATER:
Nancy used to reach out to her far-away family by making them quilts, but struggled with an older machine that was hard to maintain. We gave her a cabinet containing not only a new home theater and 32" HDTV, but a state-of-the-art computerized sewing machine to help her keep on crafting. Not only that, but the cabinet is designed so that the sewing machine can either hide away or swing out via a swivel arm for easy access.
COMMUNITY CENTER
The 55+ community members are all vibrant and active, but some weren't familiar with new technology and the benefits of the internet. In addition to having a large HDTV they can watch together, they can now take advantage of a new Apple iMac. Community members can keep up with friends and family almost instantly via email and video chat on blazing-fast FiOS internet.
