Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. Cases in point: a) the widely-discussed side-by-side HD picture comparisons posted on the AVS Forums last spring, and now Exhibit B: a post today on Boston web developer Ben Guild's blog, SmashsWorld.com. 

Check out these photos Guild posted, of a FiOS installation and a Comcast cable installation, in the same apartment complex:

Regarding his Comcast photo, Guild notes, "The door doesn't even close/lock to the juncture-box because the wiring is a 'coaxial-mess!!'...I guess Comcast's TV-Commercials is really all they have to convince you that you're actually getting close to the fiber-opticness of a FIOS line."

I'm not sure which commercials Guild is referring to specifically, but if they're anything like the ones recently deemed "confusing" by the Associated Press, photos like his should help clear things up a bit.
