A new site launched this week, FiOS TV Central (www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral), gives FiOS TV subscribers access to their local listings, current video-on-demand trailers and more, in an interface that has a similar look and feel to their already-familiar Interactive Media Guide.

Features of the new site include:

• A home page that offers select VOD trailers and featured titles; a listing of the night's primetime programs; regularly updated lists of the top-watched TV shows and top-purchased VOD titles; and links to each area of the site, including a help page.
  
• TV listings with a local channel schedule for the next 14 days and the ability to filter by categories (day, channel or time; kids, sports or high-definition programming; or movies).
  
• VOD titles and listings with information on each title and the ability to filter by categories (genre, rating, expiration date or price/free).
  
• Search function that lets customers filter by TV shows, movies, VOD, celebrity or pay-per-view.
  

Later this year, you'll also be able to program your DVR, order VOD movies and shows, and manage your TV's parental controls, all from the comfort of anywhere in the world you can get online.

With more and more cool features like this coming standard with FiOS service, I think our Gurus are going to have to work really hard to impress people with their tech-wizadry in future episodes, huh? Hope they're up to the challenge this coming week at the Wurtz home!
