Photo of Shane II, Aleasa and Kennedy Word: The News Journal/WILLIAM BRETZGER
There's a great article on the Words in today's Wilmington News Journal, including a cool photo of the family in the "before" version of what would eventually become their Musical Playroom ("after" version above).
As was also the case with post-makeover newspaper articles on the Jaegers and some of our other 2.0 Families, the reporter picked up on the amusing fact that there's often a learning curve involved in getting a complete tech makeover. But hey, that's half the fun!
Getting the home upgrade really is just the beginning, and watching the families blossom before our eyes, in their respective blogs, can be just as fun and rewarding as seeing the makeover reveals themselves. (One of my favorite posts still has got to be one by Scott Kaczor, who used to use a typewriter and had to drive to work for help checking email, now not only working from home, but using technology to keep his family safe, while shooting and uploading a video by himself...nice!)
I'm really looking forward to seeing -- and especially, hearing! -- what the Words have in store for us. And don't even get me started on the culinarily-gifted Wurtz family's makeover next week! So far, there's only one formula for them to fear learn:
