Here's a little taste of "the reality behind the reality," if you will...
Yes, the show is unscripted, but that doesn't mean there aren't often takes, retakes and more retakes. There are oodles of lights and reflectors to set up, microphones to be placed and replaced, and lots of tweaks required to make everything look and sound pretty.
And for everyone out there who's green with envy over our 2.0 Families, keep in mind -- they earn those makeovers, really. Being in the unusual position of starring in a home makeover show -- sitting still for take after take, under blazing lights (no fans or AC, since they affect the sound!), a whole TV crew in your house, all eyes and ears on you, trying to ignore the big camera lens thrust in your face -- can almost feel like work sometimes, I bet. (And crazy Guru Brian hasn't even gotten here yet!)
Hopefully the Jaegers will find that a few days of craziness are worth it when Saturday's big reveal comes, though... keep up the good work, Rich and Nancy!

This clip is great ! I so remember how hard it is to stay looking at what you are supposed to be looking at and still try to think about what you are going to say . I was laughing so hard watching this , remembering how many times I messed up and had to start over !!!! :)
I can't wait to see what the gurus do to the Jaeger's house !
Have fun Saturday ! Congrats to the Jaegers !
