I was asked if I wanted to throw the Ceremonial first pitch at the Phillies Cubs Game Sunday. Without hesitation, I replied with an ecstatic YES!
I am no rookie when it comes to pitching. As a youngster, I was the star pitcher on my Uncle Kevin's Softball team. Although softball and baseball have slightly different pitching methods, the goal is the same for both; get the ball across the plate.

Ummm Lloyd was amazing at the game, more pictures to come. What is not shown here is how I, Alison, was bent over holding my knee because Lloyd was so fast I missed the ball. Ouch!

So awesome, Lloyd, congrats! Seems like an item you could check off your "bucket list," like skydiving, running a marathon, or eating 48 hot dogs in 8 minutes. (Don't try all 3 of those on the same day, by the way.) I, too, was a pitcher a long time ago...but in Little League, which I think is at least 30 feet less than the Majors from the mound to home. Were you ever afraid you weren't going to get it across the plate?
