Men's web portal AskMen.com chose the Verizon FiOS Home Media DVR as today's Cool Gadget of the Day, claiming, "If you're looking for a device that'll overtake the Borg, the Verizon HMDVR is it."

Suh-weet! Although, if a cube-shaped armada of aliens did decide to assimilate our species into hive-minded, half-robot automatons, I'm not totally sure the Verizon FiOS Home Media DVR would be the first thing I'd grab on my way out the door...but it certainly is very cool, even if you're not male or a Trekkie. (Trekker? Sorry if I don't grok the correct lingo any more.)
