The classics never grow old

Even with the new technology, paper and pencil still have a rock-solid place in our home. Here's Jules sketching in her drawing pad after a busy Thanksgiving night.

Cool! What kind of stuff did she sketch...any hand turkeys? (Whoever first noticed that a line traced around one's hand looks a lot like a Thanksgiving turkey is almost as big a genius as Picasso, IMO.)

I don't think I'll ever totally get rid of pencil and paper, either. Even though I can type about 100x faster than I can write longhand, and my smart(ish) phone can theoretically be used to take little notes, my first instinct is always to scribble on a scrap of paper.

She was on a tear. The best was her A to Z visual guide for "the body alphabet" - where you spell out letters with your body. Hilarious and talk about writing longhand!
