L-R: Sam, Liz, Ruth, Emily, Margaret, Lucy and Mike Zaharko, Guru Brian
Here's the thing about Techno-Gurus (and the whip-smart Zaharko kids, for that matter): they may possess mad science skills, but even they cannot control the weather. (Although I heard a rumor the Gurus were working on a FiOS-Powered WeatherBot™...but I digress.)
Since Pittsburgh's sky was snowy and cloudy Friday night, the esteemed Brain-Fu Battle Judges™ had to get creative. We had the Zaharko kids' Dad stand in the middle of the street a couple hundred yards away, holding a small sign that said "I AM THE MOON." (Which, by the way, elicited several puzzled glances from the neighbors, who must have thought good ol' Jay had suddenly become a performance artist, or perhaps a lunar-rights activist.)
Each team then hooked their home-made telescopic webcams up to their laptops and snapped a picture of Jay. So who won the challenge? We don't know! Because...(here's the really cool part)...
YOU DECIDE WHO WINS THE MY HOME 2.0 BRAIN-FU BATTLE!
That's right, YOU get to decide who wins the handsome trophy...and who gets a haircut! (See Official Rules.)
We'll be posting each team's photos here on the site, and I'll be starting a poll on the discussion board where you can vote for which photo looks the best.
So if you haven't done so already, go ahead and register for the discussion board so you can vote. It only takes a moment, and then you also can Ask A Guru or a My Home 2.0 Interior Designer questions about giving your home the 2.0 treatment. (Bonus!)
Stay tuned, folks, things could get a little, uh, hairy...
