Well, if this isn't an application that seems tailor-made for the unmatchable, lag-free speed potential of FiOS, I don't know what is.
From Japanese tech site Akihabara News comes this update on StreamMyGame. It was already a pretty cool concept before, letting gamers make high-resolution videos of their game play, for training, practice or just showing off their skills on YouTube.
Now they've added a StreamMyGame Player, which enables gamers to actually play PC games remotely on another computer, laptop or even PlayStation 3 console, connected on a home network.
Said Richard Faria, CEO of StreamMyGame, "Playing the latest PC game on the PS3 is now a reality at HD resolution and fast frame-rates. I have a PS3 in my living room and PC in my office and my two kids both have old PCs in their bedrooms. Now we can play games anywhere around the home."
In March, StreamMyGame will allow you to stream games from other locations, over broadband networks with sufficient upload capacity, such as...you guessed it. So, you could conceivably go to a friend's house, start up their PS3, and play a game that's installed on your computer at home.
StreamMyGame is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Linux devices, and is available free at StreamMyGame.com.
