Like just about everyone with at least four fingers these days, we at My Home 2.0 love Guitar Hero. Brian's Jumbotron Face-off Challenge is always a highlight of the pre-reveal block parties, and our 2.0 families love jamming to the games on their new state-of-the-art home theater systems (or pretending to -- see this blog post.)

Now Verizon Wireless customers can get an exclusive mobile version of Guitar Hero III as well, for use with Get It Now-capable phones. The game doesn't come with the familiar plastic guitar (a bit hard to stuff in one's pocket, I presume); instead, players hit number keys in sync with scrolling notes. While the mobile game has three notes instead of five, there's no limit to the amount of crazy rock star faces you can make while tapping away...seems perfect for ensuring nobody sits too close at the DMV or on the subway, or as gamer blog Kotaku suggests, taking a sublime break from your workday.

The game comes with 15 songs, and features a new, unlockable song pack each month. It costs $4.49 per month, or $11.99 for an unlimited purchase, and is available at the Verizon Wireless downloads page.
