Have fun!

Oct 31, 2008

Happy Halloween, everyone!  So far I've covered saving energy indoors, outdoors, and in your car. But now I want to talk about a serious part of energy conservation that affects all of us: making it fun! Being energy conscious isn't all about counting watts and pennies, and frankly, if it's not enjoyable, it's hard to get into. Here are some tips for saving energy that will hopefully de-stress you and bring a smile to your face...

Outdoor Tips

Oct 29, 2008

In the last entry, I discussed things that you can do inside your house to save energy. Oddly enough, there are not as many websites and blog posts out there dedicated to what you can do outside the house to conserve, even though there are plenty of things to do! The Great Indoors

As we come to the close of Energy Awareness Month, that doesn't mean you should stop thinking about ways to save energy. The month of October is Energy Awareness Month, and we want to do our part as Techno Guru's to increase your awareness of energy.

Friday October 25th, Brian and I gave a presentation to the John Hopkin's Center for Talented Youth and their parents. We hope that the students enjoyed the demonstrations and hope that both the parents and children left more aware of their energy usage! :)

Check out the recorded presentation here!

Alternative Energy is a big topic of discussion these days, and discussions are taking place all over the world about viable sources of clean energy. One form of energy that is one of our favorites here at My Home 2.0 is solar power! (Make sure you check out the solar powered cellphone charger DIY project)

Well with today's technology, Solar Energy can be setup at your home or office. Well if you are a Do it Yourselfer, or you are intersted in investing in solar power for your home, read on.

October is national Energy Awareness Month. Here at My Home 2.0, we bless the families with devices, and computers, and all sorts of power hungry gadgets. Sometimes, however, the gurus get so "consumed" with our projects that we overlook the energy demand of our great projects!

Well this month I will be showcasing energy technology available on the market today, and projects I've worked on that help bring Energy Awareness to You, the Consumer.
